01Scope of this policy
Aurora is an Android music app for browsing and searching songs online, streaming playback, building playlists and favorites, importing playlists from supported platforms, and saving tracks for offline listening.
Main features work without creating an account. By continuing to use Aurora, you acknowledge the practices described here.
02What we process
We keep collection limited. Depending on how you use the app, we may process:
- Technical signals — device type, OS version, app version, language, and basic performance or crash indicators.
- Analytics events — aggregated usage events in release builds (for example via Firebase Analytics) to understand stability and feature adoption.
- Request metadata — when online features run, standard network details needed to fulfill search, stream, lyrics, config, or import requests.
- Feedback you send — message text and lightweight device context if you reach out through in-app feedback.
03What stays on your device
Playlists, favorites, playback preferences, download records, and Offline Space audio/cover files live primarily on your phone. We do not upload your downloaded music library to our servers.
- Removing items in the app, clearing app data, or uninstalling Aurora deletes local copies under normal OS behavior.
- You remain responsible for having the right to store and play any offline content.
04Online discovery & imports
Searching, browsing, streaming, fetching lyrics, loading remote configuration, or importing a playlist link (for example from supported platforms such as YouTube or Spotify) requires network requests. Those requests may include query text, track or playlist identifiers, and the URLs you submit for import.
Third-party platforms operate under their own terms. Aurora does not control their catalogs, availability, or policies.
05Service partners
Limited processing may occur through providers that help deliver the product:
- Analytics / diagnostics — to improve reliability and understand how features are used.
- Music & config APIs — to return search results, playback links, lyrics, and remote settings.
Partners receive only what is needed to perform their role and apply their own privacy statements.
06Security & retention
We aim to protect in-transit data with encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) where applicable. Local listening data remains on-device. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise absolute protection against every risk.
Analytics or server logs, if created, are kept only as long as reasonably useful for the purposes in this policy.
07Children
Aurora is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think this has happened, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
08Your choices
- Delete offline downloads, playlists, or favorites inside the app.
- Stop further processing by uninstalling Aurora and clearing app data.
- Email us with privacy questions or requests where applicable law provides additional rights.
We may revise this page periodically and will update the effective date when we do.
